British Arrows creates new Covid category
Ahead of next year's British Arrows the organisers have launched a new free-to-enter category which focuses on work created during the coronavirus lockdown period.
With the 2020 British Arrows cancelled, like most other events this year, the organisers are already looking ahead to 2021 and have created an additional category to recognise the work made during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
Incorporating any UK work made between March 23 2020 [the day the UK was officially locked down] and July 4 2020 inclusive, the category will shine a light on the ingenuity of the UK advertising scene during this difficult and unusual time.
“We (and the Board) felt it was important to recognise work created this year under extraordinary circumstances," said Jani Guest and Clare Donald, the Arrows' joint-Chairwomen. "Work that really celebrates British creativity and ingenuity in the face of unprecedented challenges. We also wanted to support the industry in some way, so making this category free-to-enter was important to us given the extreme financial pressures the industry is under.”
Entries for this category will open on Tuesday September 1, and the deadline is Saturday October 31. The British Arrows 2021 is scheduled to take place on Tuesday March 23 2021 at London's Grosvenor House on Park Lane.
More information about the category can be found on the British Arrows site.
