Wilson approaches filmmaking with a deep curiosity for people and the stories that define us. He pairs a documentarian’s patience with a writer’s instinct for the questions beneath the surface, finding intimacy in both human moments and landscapes. He brings that same observational style to his commercial work, creating branded films that feel purposeful and honest. In 2026, Kit won Gold at the Young Director Awards in Cannes for Best Documentary.
Wilson shares, “I met Boldly at the very beginning of my directorial journey, on the evening of the premiere of my debut short film, Exposed, at Whistler Film Festival. Since that chance encounter, the team have played an incredibly important, almost mentor-like role in my filmmaking - supporting me as I’ve developed my voice, vision and ambition as a director. To now join their roster, alongside such a stacked group of filmmakers, feels like a huge honour and an exciting next chapter. I’m looking forward to building on this formative relationship and working together to make ambitious, human-centric stories that run deep with emotion across both the narrative and commercial sphere.”

In addition to their commercial endeavours, Boldly and Wilson are currently in post-production on his debut feature documentary, The Explorer’s Paradox, a film that follows Wilson as he joins his explorer father on a 109-day expedition from Australia to Antarctica, confronting what made him extraordinary and so often kept him away, until a polar hurricane tests how far they’re willing to go.
