BITE Collective welcomes Dublin-born filmmaker Brian Durnin to their portfolio of directors.
Durnin is an award-winning director renowned for comedy performance and food-driven content, with over twenty years of experience. Known for his cinematic storytelling and craft, Durnin has directed hundreds of television commercials for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Guinness, McDonald’s, and Heinz, shooting across every corner of the globe. His work has earned dozens of prestigious honours both in Ireland and internationally, highlighted by the Best Director award at the ICADs in 2023, as well as recognition at The Shark Awards in Kinsale.
His 1980s-set Irish feature Spilt Milk premiered at Tallinn Black Nights in November 2024 and went on to earn four nominations at the 2025 IFTAs, including Best Film and Best Director. The film won the prestigious MUBI Audience Award at the Glasgow Film Festival and collected numerous honors at international festivals worldwide. His short films have also screened at leading festivals such as Tribeca and Raindance, winning him multiple awards.
