Global production company Believe Media has added director Phil Lind to their UK roster of talent. Armed with a wealth of broadcast experience, Lind brings a stand-alone ability to create a sense of naturalism for any project, even under extraordinary circumstances.

The Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity that supports homeless LGBT people in crisis, enlisted Lind to direct a spot featuring Sir Ian McKellan. The campaign’s message focused on “What Might Have Been,” and featured out of the closet celebrities in scenarios depicting the different lives they could have lived had they not been accepted by society.

Lind’s commercial work has steadily gained recognition, much of which involves directing a range of famous talent in addition to actors. For instance Jamie Oliver, the celebrity chef, was at the helm of Sainsbury's Summer campaign for AMV. Another project with Oliver for “Jamie’s Return to School Dinners” received unexpected media attention when paparazzi got wind of the shoot, which required Oliver to be in full body fat suit prosthetics, leading to the set in Battersea to be overwhelmed by a swarm of photographers. Lind also had the opportunity to direct the entire cast of Shane Meadows’ celebrated mini-series “This is England '86” for a viral promo film showing them throwing a house party. His longer-form work includes a 5-piece online series featuring Bear Grylls for Dos Equis’ Most Interesting Man Academy, as well as a short film featuring documentary filmmaker Nick Broomfield, who parodied himself to extol the public service remit of Channel 4.  Most recently, Lind shot an Enel campaign for Saatchi & Saatchi Rome, as well as a spot for James Holiday Villa's for McCann, currently airing in the UK.

Lind developed the set of assets that he now calls upon behind the lens during his 15 years of agency experience within a network environment, winning many awards from Cannes Lion, D&AD, and Promax along the way.  Destined for a creative path from the start, Lind graduated from Middlesex University with a BA with Honors in Interior Design before diving into the world of broadcast.

Lind was Creative Head of 4Creative, which was awarded Advertising Agency of The Year, as well as the more recent role of Executive Creative Director of ITV Creative.  There, he was responsible for creatively spearheading the rebrand of the entire ITV Corporation, leading the network to be awarded Media Brand of The Year and Channel of The Year.  After years of collaborating with fellow creatives under incredibly tight deadlines on a daily basis, Lind says, “The most important thing I’ve learned is the true understanding that without a good idea to start with, there is nothing. A great idea is the foundation for any successful creative project.”

Lind made the transition from CD to director, earning the attention of Believe’s strong producing team in the UK. Believe EP Rory Fry, who previously worked with Lind at 4Creative and ITV Creative, comments, “I am so pleased to be reunited with Phil, and work with him in the sphere of advertising. The UK team is thrilled to have Phil join the ranks of the highest caliber of Believe directors, where he is poised to take the commercial world by storm.”
