Celebrating its 145th anniversary, Barilla has launched a new spot to showcase its new premium line with a cool, cosmic film about the rebirth of pasta.

The film likens the cooking of spaghetti to the dawn of the universe that was the big bang. It is an artful, surrealist interpretation of a fresh start for the age-old cuisine.

Created by Publicis Italy and directed by Phillipe André, through BRW Filmland, Pasta is Born Again, is set to the famous operatic Flower Duet from Léo Delibes' Lakmé, as the creativity climaxes on a group enjoying a pasta dish together.

It emphasises the reawakening of the senses through the visuals and music as it celebrates the launch of the new premium line, Al Bronzo.
