As a continued media partner of ADFEST, our annual wine tasting challenge took place in the idyllic settings of Thailand’s Intercontinental Pattaya Resort, once again offering the Source, shots and Slate team the opportunity to catch up with some of the region's key creatives, while sipping some delicious wine.

From across ADFEST's categories jurors and jury heads gathered, including Jury Chair and Global Chief Creative Officer for Cheil Worldwide, Malcolm Poynton, with each participant tasting three wines and having to identify the grape, year of production and country of origin, receiving one point per each correct answer.

The winner of this year’s competition was Masako Suzuki from SIX INC., who rosé to the challenge, managing to correctly distinguish eight of the nine wines.

Accompanying Source, shots and Slate staff to ADFEST, and further celebrating the region's creative work, shots' annual Asia Pacific Focus, a special edition magazine available only at the festival, spotlighted some of the incredible talents, people and companies from the region. It's pages feature a selection of the winners from the shots Asia Pacific Awards 2023, showcasing perspectives on the area's creative highlights as well as the challenges the region faces. .
