Alicia Steanson joins The Hogan as Junior Music Supervisor
Steanson, the co-founder of Terra Obscura, joins The Hogan's growing supervision team.
The Hogan hires London-based DJ and producer Alicia Steanson as Junior Music Supervisor.
The Rinse FM resident co-founded the London-based event series, Terra Obscura, and has frequented venues such as Fabric, Corsica Studios and Phonox.
Steanson said: "Music supervision is something I’ve always wanted to get into, but I left my conversation with the team knowing they were who I wanted to take this leap with, and the idea of switching up my job was suddenly not daunting at all.
It’s not often you can slot into a team so comfortably. The Hogan has been a real breath of fresh air and I’m really excited to be working with these lovely minds. I’ve also discovered I need to brush up on my (non-existent) ping-pong skills…"
Managing Director, Joseph Ogunmokun adds: "It's incredibly fulfilling to play a part in bringing people like Alicia into THE HOGAN. Music supervision lives or dies on the depth of the people doing it - with the team we are building, we are only increasing this depth and the capabilities at our disposal."
Founder, Sean Hogan added: "The first thing that struck me about Alicia was her curiosity. This has only continued since her joining. She is well versed in the field with a broad and deep music taste, and her immediate grasp of narrative has been very impressive. We are particular about who joins the group, and it’s clear that Alicia is a kind, intelligent person and will be an asset to this team. It’s true, she is improving at ping-pong too."
Steanson’s music supervision responsibilities will centre on searches, original composition, curation, project management and licensing.
