Lavazza: The Real Italian Coffee

In terms of dialogue, the script for this ad – helmed by Good People director Ali Ali out of Y&R Milan – doesn't exactly grab you with its profundity or wit. But, luckily, advertising is largely a visual medium and this spot revels in the type of stylish good looks you'd expect from the Italians.  

Basically a bunch of disparate characters repeatedly questioning what is 'the real Italian coffee', the genius here is in its succession of imaginative, beautifully crafted and mildly bonkers images – a beverage-bearing butler crashes through a wall, a girl floats on an inflatable flamingo and Hamlet shares the stage with a coffee-drinking skeleton.
