BBC Two has teamed up with a host of British and global animation talent to create these hypnotic new idents.
Part of a brand refresh of the channel's identity - its first in twenty years - led by BBC Creative and brand agency Superunion, the 16 idents are designed to reflect BBC Two's commitment to specialism, challenging and complex programming, creativity, alternative outlook and unorthodox DNA.
FutureDeluxe, Aardman, The Mill, Kenneth Robin, Ari Weinkle, David McLeod, Helmut Breineder, Conlan Normington, Kijek and Adamski, and Mainframe are among the animation companies involved, while audio to accompany the visuals was created by award-winning British composer and sound designer Alex Baranowski, whose approach was to use the same two notes "which would then evolve and create an atmospheric journey through each animation".
