Ever since Kim Cattrall immortalised the whole 'sexy mannequin coming to life after dark' thing in the eponymous 1987 flick, we've been charmed and creeped-out in equal measures by the idea of life-size dolls turning into humans.
Last year, Nicholas Winding Refn gave us a surreally stylish take on the trope for 24 Sevres, and now it's the turn of department store Hudson's Bay to push the idea of 'woke mannequins' in a new campaign from TBWA/NEBOKO.
In the spot, directed by Tobias Pekelharing through Holy Fools Amsterdam, a male mannequin decides to break free from the window of his fusty old boutique to visit the splendours of Hudson's Bay, where he meets the lady model of his dreams and enjoys a night of dancing and carousing around the store.
