Hamburg Film Festival: A Thousand Words

Nice Shirt Films' JJ Keith shows that a picture is worth a thousand words in this trailer for the 2018 Hamburg Film Festival.

The film takes us through a series of 12 clips, ranging from a pot-bellied man foraging in the fridge to Hitler delivering a speech, accompanied by a voiceover playing an association game with the words and phrases conjured up by each image. A muscular man lifting a dumbbell in the gym, for example, is labelled 'pumped', 'ripped', 'vain', 'vacuous', 'health-obsessed', 'self-obsessed' and 'sex pest', illustrating how a single image can represent a host of different things to different people. It's all in the eye of the beholder....
