This horrifying PSA for the Christopher D. Smithers Foundation shows how quickly life can descend into chaos through painkiller addiction.
Directed by Robert Smyth and Brinkley Smithers, and produced by Heavy Pictures, the film forms part of #StopTheSpiral, an initiative to raise awareness of opioid addiction and provide a medical alternative to traditional treatment for those suffering opioid use disorder. It follows Charlie, a healthy, sporty teenager, whose grades, relationships and life are all turned upside down after he's introduced to opioids at a party. The quick cuts and sped-up music give a nauseating sense of Charlie's loss of control, as the film builds to a shocking conclusion.
