For International Women's Day, the UN Women National Committee Australia has released Leave No Woman Behind conceived by BMF.
The shot begins in darkness, with only the sounds of a woman struggling through a storm as the main action. Text on screen informs the viewer of what she is going through.
She finally makes it to a tent, a place of shelter and safety, where she is comforted by the light of a solar lamp.
Leave No Woman Behind is meant to raise awareness for the women and children who are at risk of being killed or injured from a natural disaster, or could face being trafficked, forced into child marriage, suffer from violence or sexual assault in times of conflict. Viewers are encouraged to donate to the UN Women's programs to deliver supplies, training and support to women in unsafe environments.
