Andrew Jasperson, a creative who has worked on spots including Jose Cuervo Last Days and Southern Comfort Young Gun, has directed this short film which takes a shot at the ridiculous jargon and delusional culture of Silicon Valley. The film isn't just a flight of creative fancy; Pinglr is also a real app, co-created by Jasperson, that is available in Google Play and which is, says Jasperson, "like an online stress ball. You can tickle or rub it, and it makes giggly fun noises and squishes, kind of like a stress ball or a ball of bread dough. Or you can poke it, and it doesn’t like that, it makes angry noises when you poke it. And that’s pretty much it. The idea being that this crazy fella made an absolute nonsense app that he’s pumped about."
