M83: Do It, Try It

Following on from last year’s release of French electronic music outfit M83's seventh studio album, Junk, the band have released this cool animated video.

Directed by David Wilson, the video, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival Next Fest, sees two quarrelling parents take their kids for a meal at a fast food restaurant. To alleviate the boredom the kids end up drawing monsters and superheroes – which happen to come to life and wreck the place.

Aside from the playful visuals, the video seems to have a much darker subtext, focussing on kids who are desperate to escape their own reality.
