Publicis Russia illustrate the need for tighter gun control via a rifle that could be controlled online.
For Every 27th, created by the agency for pressure group Independent Enthusiasts for Gun Control, Publicis created webrifle.org, a site that appeared to show a sniper rifle that could be controlled via mouse and keyboard. If the user pressed the space bar, the rifle would shoot, and the person it was pointing at would die.
...or should that be "die"? The public in the sniper's sights were actually actors, hooked up with blood packs that would trigger via motion sensors. The shooter, however, did not know this, and of the 250 people who logged in, most of whom were gun owners, every 27th person took the shot, potentially killing a stranger. If someone took a shot, a window would pop up saying 'not everyone owns a gun responsibly'.
As the case study video (or if you're feeling whimsical, a shot about shots featuring on shots,) which you can see above shows, then, this provided real-life evidence that not everyone can be trusted with a gun, and that more regulations should be put in place.
