Toyota take us on a hyper-kinetic ride through neon lights, catwalk shows and clubs in a new Australian spot for their C-HR SUV.
For Thrill of the Next, directed by Ben Tricklebank of Exit Films for BWM Dentsu, live-action camera work and effects from Alt VFX combine to take a young car-driving couple from one experience to another via a number of VFX-aided impossible camera shots.
In one, for instance, the car appears to become its own reflection as we go from a neon light factory of some sort into the floor of a catwalk show. Or should that be 'carwalk' now? No, probably not.
From here, they drive into a nightclub, which certainly looks cool, with the pink and purple disco lights dancing off the car, but shots advise you do not try to reattempt on your next nightclub visit.
