Joe Goddard: Music Is The Answer

Directing collective Shynola has helmed this hypnotic new promo for UK artists and Hot Chip member Joe Goddard.

Inspired by the events of 2016 - a year that many described as an annus horribilis - the collective put together the promo with visuals to represent the loss of Japan's Hitomi Satellite and Pinchas Gutter hologram, which portrays the holocaust survivors.

Speaking about the promo, director Richard Kenworthy said, "We’d recently been reading about the AWOL Hitomi satellite, and also the incredible Pinchas Gutter hologram, and that lead to imagine a story about a satellite lost in the vastness of space, broadcasting a recorded message of hope.”

Produced by Black Dog UK, the promo is the second video from the artists' upcoming solo album, Electric Lines.
