What’s the best Christmas ad campaign you’ve seen this year?

I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas With Love from Mrs. Claus for Marks and Spencer. Brilliantly shot and amazing performances. I had to start pretending the room was dusty after about seven seconds.

What website(s) do you use most regularly and why?

Besides Today I’m Brave, I can’t say I have a go-to site. I have go-to apps, but not really a go-to site.

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought and why?

I bought a drone with a small camera on it for my eight year old. Okay, I bought it for me too. But it broke after about an hour and a half.

Facebook, Instagram or Twitter?

Facebook.

What’s your favourite app on your phone and why?

My ESPN app. They don’t show a lot of the Bulldogs games in LA. It’s a great way to keep up with how badly my Bulldogs are losing.

What’s your favourite TV show and why?

Timeless. They had me at time travel.

What film do you think everyone should have seen?

Sixteen Candles. It’s a classic coming of age story.

Where were you when inspiration last struck?

I’ll let you know the next time inspiration strikes.

What’s the most significant change you’ve witnessed in the industry since you started working in it?

Influencers. The fact that regular people can become celebrities by showing the world what they had for lunch or by asking the public what dress they should wear tonight, is shocking and wonderful to me.

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

That craft services would serve buffalo cheeseburgers for lunch and pizza for dinner with a never ending supply of Kit Kats and Coca Cola ... hey, you asked.

What or who has most influenced your career and why?

I have a couple of great mentors that I attribute any and all success I’ve had in advertising. At the top of the list is David Angelo, David Lubars, Jamie Barrett, Rich Silverstein and of course, Jeff Goodby. Wonderful people and great, generous talents.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…

I can say, “Can I have a beer?” in seven languages. Priorities.

What’s your New Year’s Resolution?

Try to stop thinking about tomorrow and instead, enjoy and say thank you for today. Even if it’s a bad day.
