Global content studio Pulse Films has announced the appointment of BBH chief production officer Davud Karbassioun, as global president of commercials and branded entertainment. In this newly created role Karbassioun, who will initially be based in London, before moving to LA in summer 2017, will work alongside co-founders Thomas Benski and Marisa Clifford. Karbassioun has a 14-year history with BBH.

Over the past six years he has been leading BBH’s production offering, overseeing the execution of the agency’s creative output.  He hass been involved in making some of the industry’s most stand out work for clients including The Guardian, AXE, Audi, Levi’s, Virgin Media, Waitrose, Johnnie Walker and Barnardo’s. This work has led to him picking up a raft of industry accolades including a Grands Prix at Cannes, the Clios and the One Show for three different clients, and in the UK, Karbassioun led BBH to Agency of the Year for three out of four years at the British Arrows.

Speaking about the move BBH ECD Nick Gill commented "Dav is quite simply the best producer I’ve ever worked with. His impact on BBH creative work over the last 13 years has been immeasurable. Dav’s legacy at BBH isn’t just the work he’s made, but also the talent he’s hired and developed. Talent that I know will take us forward in a way that will make Dav proud.”
