DDB NY Creates Animation for Conservation Festival
Zombie Studio and DDB create heartfelt animation for WCFF to launch New York’s Wildlife Conservation Film Festival.
Hankies at the ready!
This emotional animation for New York’s Wildlife Conservation Film Festival – which opened yesterday and will run until early next week – is a heart-warming yet saddening eye opener.
Helmed by Zombie Studio and created through DDB New York (one of the Festival’s sponsors), the three-minute-long short tells the story of almost-extinct animals who reinterpret the I Dreamed a Dream song from French musical, Les Misérables.
The colourful CG, stop motion-inspired spot sees the endangered animals sing about the dangers that they’re currently facing, all of which are sadly brought on by encroaching poachers.
Academic organisation WCFF attempts to encourage us to actively embrace and protect global biodiversity and it’s hoped that this film will help to bolster the Festival’s profile and raise awareness of the key issues at stake.
