Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen stars in a new campaign by GTB, the WPP global agency for Ford, that launches the brand's new SUV, Edge.

The bold, 360, pan-European campaign cost a stonking £40M and is spearheaded by a gorgeous eight-minute short directed by Jake Scott out of RSA Films.

Soaring violins, nefarious arms dealers with interesting hair playing chess, sleepy, Mediterranean fishing villages, a female assassin named ‘The Widow’ and an enigmatic Mads in a Panama hat making poisoned darts – this lush film makes more than a few nods to Bond movies and ends with a wittily romantic happy ending celebrating the love between a man and his car.

The film was written by GTB’s creative heads Julian Watt and Bryn Attewell and shot in Croatia, using the same location as Game of Thrones. It is supported by TV, cinema, OOH and all digital and social platforms.
