Directed by Backyard's Kim Nguyen, out of Anomaly, this humorous spot depicts a soon-to-be dad of three watching his wife give birth while being overcome by nausea and worries about his upcoming financial responsibilities.

The dad’s ‘ordeal’ as his wife suffers the agonies of childbirth is intercut with scenes of comedian Demetri Martin sagely giving parenting advice while tending to his garden topiary in a comedy hat. This adds a quirky tone to the film, which marks a change of direction for financial planning company New York Life.
