Aside from offering portability and the ability to capture high quality action, GoPro is now exploring its alliance with worthwhile causes through its GoPro For A Cause initiative.

Using the GoPro equipment to campaign for good, the brand’s latest project is a 10-minute documentary piece about two disabled friends who, between them, are striving to improve and rebuild the Chinese environment by planting trees.

Perhaps it sounds like an easy if not slightly laborious task… but what makes the footage and the initiative so impressive is the fact that Jia Wenqi has lost both his arms and Jia Haixia is blind.

The lifelong friends have supported each other throughout their hardships, since Wenqui remarked to Haixa, “You’ll be my arms, I’ll be your eyes.”

Together they walk through rural China trying to rebuild the land, motivated by the sheer fact that their work will benefit the lifestyle of generations to come.

GoPro employees and artists visited the Yeli Village located outside of Beijing to showcase the pair’s incredible work ethic and share their experiences with others around the world. This is the main motivation behind Go Pro’s Go Pro For A Cause campaign.
