Global cancer charity One for the Boys is encouraging men to talk about the disease with this emotional film.

The charity, which is chaired by Samuel L. Jackson and supported by global ambassadors including Michael Douglas, Dylan Jones, Richard Roundtree and John Bishop aims to raise awareness among men about the dangers of cancer, and the difference between catching it early and too late.

Over 85,000 men die of cancer in the UK every year and the chances of recovery are increased the sooner treatment commences. Cancer at stage 1 has a 74 per cent five-year survival rate, compared to only 6 per cent if detected later at stage 4. If you notice a lump, bleeding, changes in your bowel or urination function, you should go and see your doctor.

Directed by Sam Huntley, and produced by Iconoclast London Iconoclast London, the film highlights the importance of getting yourself checked by offering up two different scenarios with very real outcomes.

The campaign, led by the film, will be supported by a dedicated website, One For The Boys, and across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
