The Black Farmer: This Is My Soul
Tony Kaye is back in a new ad for The Black Farmer and it's as strange as you may have expected.

The Black Farmer is a mysterious character, cultivating sausages in the English countryside and dancing in the hills with Morris dancers.
This is director Tony Kaye's vision for promoting the brand's gluten free and RSPCA-approved products. Perhaps it's unsurprising that the ad lived up to expectation when it aired on Friday night TV... It's truly memorable.
Succulent, juicy sausages sizzle on the grill, while the black farmer who grows them dances flamenco and plays soul music on his trumpet. The company's Jamaican-born founder, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones - who is the brand's real black farmer - lends his voice to the spot as he is the voiceover and the narrator, reading the bespoke poem that connects the ad's flashing images.
While the spot may be quite trippy, it does a good job of whetting your appetite. Bet you won't be able to resist going home and cooking yourself a sausage sandwich tonight.
