Many are quick to criticise Instagram as a platform full of young teenagers, intent on getting the perfect shot to please their followers.

But Åkestam Holst has helped to subvert this perception with its latest campaign for Audi, #CatchTheUnseen.

The agency launched a photo competition on the platform to challenge its users to enjoy the great outdoors and to encourage them to take amazing photos.

The rules? Go beyond the furthest away geo-tagged photo on Instagram... and upload one that’s even further away.

 

 

In this case study of the campaign (above), you can see how the platform was flooded with high quality images, while the winner went above and beyond his remit, travelling 13 kilometres extra to get his shot – and winning the new Audi Q7.
