Back in October 2015, Domino’s Pizza announced the launch of the DXP, a specially-designed pizza delivery car.

Now, months later the pizza delivery company has deployed 97 DXP vehicles to various Domino’s stores across the US. The one seater car, based on the Chevrolet Spark, is fitted with compartments for holding fizzy drinks, pizza, dipping sauce and napkins. It's also decked out with custom lights, a food heater and specialist branding.

With almost 100 cars on the road already, the brand together with CP+B, has just launched its TV campaign - not too dissimilar from traditional car commercials - to unveil the Domino's contest and announce the chance for consumers to bring a DXP to their hometown.

Produced by SKUNK LA and helmed by Raf Wathion, the Delivery Car of the Future spot (at top) presents the many features of the DXP and points pizza lovers to its dedicated competition site.

The campaign is also supported by a second film, entitled Salt Flats (below), which playfully plays with car commercial tropes.
