Pies form a staple part of the English diet – there’s nothing like a hearty pie to warm you up after a long, hard and cold day, especially in the thick of winter.

Yet, UK-based pie manufacturer Pukka Pies has admitted that its pies are not the dish of choice for many youngsters… which is why it’s looking to attract a younger clientele.

The solution? Pukka Pies has created a competition encouraging students between 16 and 25 years old to create an ad for the pie brand.

Not only will the brand benefit from a revamped approach to advertising, but the aptly-named Idea of the Year competition will help the winning entrant to receive lots of public exposure for their work.

Entrants should submit a video ad or a video explaining their idea, although there are no suggestions or restrictions over the video’s contents.

Up to £5,000 is up for grabs for the winning entry, although £7,500 will be distributed among seven runners up.

So, if you’re creative, under 25 and an avid pie lover – why not submit your idea?

The competition is open until the end of April so, to find out more click here.
