Last we heard, a mysterious stranger had stepped into Marilyn Monroe's shoes to wish the Super Bowl a happy birthday. And now, we've found out who's beneath the dress... American actor Willem Dafoe.
The full length spot, directed by Jim Jenkins, reenacts the iconic scene from The Seven Year Itch and the famous moment Monroe graciously steps over a New York City subway grate. Although Dafoe does it ever so slightly less elegantly.
Created by BBDO New York and produced by O Positive, the Super Bowl Snickers offering sees Dafoe and Monroe follow in the footsteps of many of the great famous faces - Betty White, The Berady Bunch, Danny Trejo and Steve Buscemi - who have also fronted the brand's previous Big Game spots.
