Back to school following the Christmas break and that can only mean one thing for students: exams.

In Japan, exam season is only just beginning as it runs from January to March.

While this period can seem long lasting and feel like the end of the world, Japanese students should not despair as there may be a little light at the end of the tunnel… literally.

To help guide students through exam stress and to calm their nerves, KIT KAT has partnered with JWT to create special revision packs to boost self-esteem and re-motivate late night learners.

“Students studying for [university] entrance exams are not alone, even though their friends and family [may] live far away,” says JWT senior creative director Kohei Kawasaki.

KIT MAIL Hologram allows family members to offer support and send solace during stressful study sessions with KITKAT packages, that include a chocolate bar and plastic card that can be assembled into a pyramid shape, used to project music videos from Japanese boy band DISH// (below).

Once the videos play, the boys come to life as holograms, projected into the student’s study zone.

But obviously, for a clearer image, the room should be as dark as possible.

KIT KAT’s chocolate bars are already considered a lucky charm for the Japanese, because the brand name bears a striking resemblance to a well-known phrase ‘Kitto Katsu,’ which literally translates as ‘surely win.’

Now with the boyband offering inspiring words of wisdom and encouraging students to ‘Believe in themselves,’ there’s no excuse for students to not do well... No pressure.
