However, this pair of spots, created by BBH, attempts to encourage shoppers to splash but save while at Tesco.
Marking the agency's first campaign since winning the account, the ads - helmed by Daniel Kleinman - see a normal family benefit from Tesco's improved customer service.
Except that Ruth Jones, Ben Miller and up-and-coming actor Will Close make up the star-studded family.
The above ad demonstrates the supermarket's new 'one-in-front' policy that will try to open a new till if there is more than one customer in line.
While, the second (below) celebrates Tesco's new Brand Guarantee scheme, where customers will qualify for a discount if it can be matched at the till.
