Love makes people do crazy things – whispering sweet-nothings, whiling away time and writing endless poetry.

At least that was the case when disappointed Daniel Hancox couldn’t bag the car of his dreams.

He sent an emotionally-charged love poem to @AlfaRomeoUK on Twitter declaring his love for Alfa and his intentions to purchase his first model.

But unfortunately, she was already sold by the time he reached the car dealership, leaving him to post his feelings and poem online.

Last week London-based agency Doner responded to Hancox’s love poem – writing a tongue-in-cheek reply from the car’s perspective.

The cute campaign shows the power of social media – though the attention didn’t mean Hancox got the model he so desired.
