Fort Minor Go 360 With Latest Music Video
Renowned music video director Jeff Nicholas uses 360 interactivity in Fort Minor's latest video, Welcome.
Ever wanted to work on a music video or feature in one? Well now you can, with Fort Minor's latest 360 track Welcome, which lets viewers choose which way they look.
The Uprising Creative has partnered with new band Fort Minor, which features Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, to release a new music video using cutting edge technology.
Jeff Nicholas - the director behind Rihanna and Justin Timberlake music videos - is the brains in this creation.
The video sees Fort Minor working on a 12 foot piece of artwork on Venice Beach, enlisting the help of several members of the community and echoing the title of the song, Welcome.
But, the film is no ordinary music vid: It's shot in 360 degrees.
Using 4 go-pros each positioned at 180 degrees, Nicholas was able to catch a full perspective.
Viewers can engage with the video by wearing Google glasses and exploring their surroundings - navigating up or down and left or right.
Even without the glasses, viewers can experience the same interactivity through the computer screen.
Pretty cool!
