It's been said that every city around the world has its own unique sound, almost like a pulse, and it was with that in mind that French agency RosaParks created this interesting campaign.
Directed by Vincent Rodella through Birth Paris for train operator Thalys, the campaign saw three cities - Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam - become the scene of some unusul sound hunting. Everything from the cries of merchants at Parisian markets and the rolling wheels of skateboarders in Brussels to the lapping of water against the bricked edges of the canals in Amsterdam was recorded.
The sounds collected were then placed into one off billboards, with all of the collected sounds available to people through a host of headphone ports. All the pedestrians had to do was plug in with their personal headphones and experience the magic of their chosen city.
The result of the experiential campaign was that an ordinary pair of headphones, which would ordinarillu, cut people off from the city, connected them instead.
