You can confess your love in three words but this year Samsung is giving smitten fans the chance to do it in 24 characters as part of a social drive through Cheil UK this Valentine's.

In the run-up to the day on 14 February, the mobile and electronics brand is asking its followers to email with their special Valentine’s message for that someone special along with the person’s Twitter handle.

Samsung will then handpick the best messages at random and give them to a dedicated team of illustrators, who will harness the Note 4’s cutting edge touchscreen technology, combined with the S Pen, to craft and design a bespoke, illustrated love note to that person’s Valentine.

Celebrity friends of the brand will also be hit with cupid’s arrow across the Twittersphere and the #lovenote campaign will run across the brand’s Twitter account from 12-15 February.

“Valentine’s Day is a time for people to show each other how much they love them,” states Russell Taylor, CMO, Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland. “This campaign is a great way to showcase what the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 can do in a unique and fun way.”

The illustrators used in the campaign have been handpicked by the Cheil UK team for their unique style and tone that fits with the Samsung brand. Illustrators who are involved include Kid Acne, Hide Your Toys, Jethro Haynes, Walter Newton, Celyn and Yuko Kondo.

“Consumers are always on the look-out for new, exciting and unique ways that they can interact with brands online,” adds Matt Pye, chief operating officer at Cheil UK.

“We’ve created a campaign for Samsung and the Note 4 that not only shows off the phone’s cutting edge capabilities, but also delights, entertains and creates something useful. It’s something a bit different that Samsung customers can use for their special someone on Valentine’s Day, and with our previous Valentine’s activity resulting in proposals and marriages, who knows where this one could lead!”
