Comic book buffs have the chance to meet some of their favourite characters over the next few months as The Beano takes over a London station.

St Pancras International has become a haven of mischief as the country’s longest running comic sets up home there for a whopping 13 weeks.

The station graces the front of The Beano’s 2015 annual and, to celebrate, Dennis the Menace and The Bash Street Kids are hosting a variety of activities.

The fun events include an exhibition featuring past annual covers from as far back as 1939. Interactive photo boards will give the public the chance to feel as though they’re taking a starring role in the comic.

A one of a kind Dennis the Menace inspired black and red table tennis table is also in situ, where fans can play a special game of ‘Table Dennis’ against friends and family.

The comic’s most famous resident, Dennis the Menace, will also be wandering through the station, allowing visitors to meet him face to face.

The October half term break (27 October to 31 October 2014) also signals the chance to meet one of The Beano's illustrators through a series of master classes.

Tim Collins, head of brands at DC Thomson (which publishes The Beano), says: “The launch of The Beano Annual is always an event and each year we create new content and have more pages than many others in the market. There is a huge affection for this much-loved brand in the UK and after more than a year in the making, we’re really excited to be able to finally unveil this exclusive partnership with St Pancras International to support the nation’s favourite annual.”

Wendy Spinks, commercial director of HS1 Ltd (owners of St Pancras International), adds: “As the nights draw in and the weather starts to get colder, we wanted to inject a bit of fun and frivolity into the daily commute. Dennis the Menace and the gang are known for creating mayhem and mischief so who better to put a smile on people’s faces.”

The Beano's shenanigans run through to Monday 5 January 2015.
