Grey Paris Brings LEGO to Life
Agency creates pictorial displays as a result of experimental playing sessions.
For millions of adults across the world LEGO will bring back fond childhood memories of hours of creative fun and endless possibilities. In fact, did you know that six eight-stud LEGO bricks (2x4) can be combined a total of 915,103,765 times?
To highlight the creative possibilities associated with the toy, the brand teamed up with Grey Paris to conduct an experiment. Over one day the France LEGO team invited five children aged between 6-10 to play in a room full of LEGO bricks for 15 minutes at a time.
During the sessions each child was asked to comment and narrate through the construction process while - unbeknown to the child and their mothers - an illustrator created a fresco of the child’s story.
At the end of the experiment the artist’s pictorial representation of each construction was revealed to display an understanding of the child’s imagination.
