To celebrate the launch of Intel and SMS Audio’s new biometric headphones, a unique art installation has been created which draws to the sound of people’s heartbeats.

The new Biosport line of fitness headphones feature a tiny sensor in the ear bud which allows people to track their pulse while they exercise.

In keeping with the product’s heart rate theme, New York creative agency Sid Lee has created the Heart Bot robotic art piece with Tool interactive director Aramique.

The Heart Bot collects heart rate data from a large group of people during a fixed time, at a fixed location, and translates it into generative art, demonstrating that each individual experiences the same moment in a very personal way.

The installation was a focal point at the Biosport headphones’ launch at The New Museum, New York, for guests to use. The final work of art will be donated to domestic hunger relief charity Feeding America.

SMS Audio’s 50 Cent was in attendance at the launch as well as Carmelo Anthony and special guest DJ J. Scott, the official DJ of the ASAP Mobb.
