Dee Tagert | Managing Director/Partner

How would you describe 2013 for the industry, creatively speaking?

In 2012, I think the industry somewhat lost its way, creatively speaking. Thankfully in 2013, it is roaring back.

And what about your own creative performance in the last 12 months?

jumP is very fortunate. We have always been part of amazing work, that trend has only continued in 2013. Feeling very lucky!

What do you think your own best personal achievement has been in the past year?

Keeping up with the ever-changing horizon both creatively and technically.

What are you most excited about for 2014?

Looking forward to the work in AND outside of the box.

And what are your predictions for the industry in general in 2014?

The advertising industry is alive and well and will continue to be.

As Facebook just this week introduced video advertising content, I think it is a good indication the digital onslaught we have all been anticipating will explode this year.

Which campaign or piece of work will you remember from this year?

The Lexus IS Reveal Change Lanes project; our two Beyonce music videos in the Visual Self-Titled album that just dropped, Haunted and Superpower; and four incredible feature films that are garnering great success in the film festival circuit: Mission Congo, Low Down, and one I can’t share yet, plus Live Kisses which is up for a Grammy!

How has your company/office celebrated Christmas this year and are you getting involved?

We had a Holiday Champagne Party that we shared with our clients and an Ugly-Sweater-Cocktail-Filled Party for our staff that ended at 3am with dancing on the kitchen table.

We decked the halls and are sending our staff home on a long well-deserved break.

What’s the one thing you look forward to in your time off over Christmas?

Spending time with my family.

What’s your new year’s resolution workwise or other?

To lose weight and do all I can to support our incredible talent at jump.

And if you had a piece of advice for the creative industry to learn from this year and take into next, what would you say?

To value the people who make the work as much as you value the work itself.
