2AM signs director Dan Dewsbury
Dan started out at the BBC on a traineeship in Documentary where he worked on several critically acclaimed series.
Joining 2AM is award winning documentary filmmaker Dan Dewsbury, best known for directing The Mighty Redcar series on BBC2.
Dan started out at the BBC on a traineeship in Documentary where he worked on several critically acclaimed series including Wonderland, Storyville and Louis Theroux. He got his big break on the BAFTA nominated series The Detectives and the Royal Television Society winning Hospital series.
He was Series Director on the critically acclaimed BBC documentary The Mighty Redcar, an exploration about the inequality of opportunities available to young people in some towns in the North East of the country. Daniel embedded himself in Redcar for over 6 months during research and filming.
The Guardian gave The Mighty Redcar 5 stars, describing it as “proper heartwarming film-making”.
Most recently Dan received a BAFTA TV Award Nomination for The Mighty Redcar.
