2024 AMP Awards releases shortlist, announces curatorial committee roster
Yessian tops with seven shortlisted entries, followed by Wave Studios NY with four, as the music and sound awards gears up for its May 15 NYC event.
The AMP Awards for Music & Sound, sponsored by the Association of Music Producers, has announced its Shortlist for the 2024 competition and saluted the work of its Curatorial Committee as it gears up for its eleventh awards presentation, set for May 15 at Sony Hall in New York.
Leading the Shortlist this year is Yessian Music, which earned seven Shortlisted entries. This included three entries for its Masterpiece spot for Coca-Cola, which scored in the categories of Best Original Score, Best Sound Design and Outstanding Mix, while its Schweppes The Social Sound project earned two Shortlisted entries, in Best Use of Music and Sound in Emerging Media or Experiential/Events and Most Innovative Process + Execution. Additionally, Yessian was Shortlisted twice more in the Emerging Media or Experiential/Events category: with Home of Carlsberg for Carlsberg and View Boston for Boston Properties.
Wave Studios NY earned four Shortlisted entries, three of which were for its Heal the Future spot for Sick Kids Foundation, which placed in Best Sound Design, Outstanding Mix and Best Use of a Licensed, Pre-existing Recording. Additionally, its Senses spot for Touchland also landed on the Shortlist for Best Sound Design.

Among the companies placing three entries on the Shortlist were Citizen Music (for Apple and Under Armour), Deutsch LA (for Dr Pepper and NerdWallet), Droga5 & Accenture Song (for General Entertainment Authority and LinkedIn), Heavy Duty Projects (for CSAA Insurance and Etsy), and TBWA\Media Arts Lab (for Apple).
A number of companies earned two Shortlisted entries, including Elias Audio Branding (one of which was shared with FIFA), Future Perfect & Little Ears, Racket Club, Squeak E. Clean Studios, Storefront Music, The Elements Music and ZYNC/Round Hill Music.

The AMP Awards Curatorial Committee met virtually to review the results of the first round of judging, conducted by members of the Association of Music Producers, and to verify each category’s winners. Led by Leo Premutico, Co-Founder & Creative Chairman of Johannes Leonardo, the committee is the final arbiter of the AMP Awards; the committee also chose the competition’s coveted Ryan Barkan Best of Show winner, selected from the category winners.
