IKEA Australia continues its passion for puppetry in a new spot by The Monkeys, Finch and Blinkink that brings its sheepskin rugs to life.

In The Best Day is the Everyday, directors Jonny & Will have created a fully furnished IKEA home, then use puppetry to bring alive two rugs in this space that wake up and make breakfast in bed. Fans of the names of IKEA furniture will also be pleased to note that this Ludde family also has a pet Bolmen puppy to keep them company.

The directors have previous on IKEA ads, being the puppeteers behind Blink's previous T-shirts spot for the brand featuring dozens of migrating t-shirts. This time, they achieve their effects with eight of what producer Kevin Harwood called 'stunt rugs...adapted slightly to work for the individual shots.'
