Consider yourself a bit of an adrenaline junkie? Would you love to swim cage-free with some of the world’s most dangerous sharks?

If the thought of the second question makes your blood run cold, but you’re still fascinated by the mystery that surrounds the kings of the sea, then there may be a way to make your wish come true.

This afternoon at 5pm GMT, you can be transported underwater to the Bahamian island of Bimini thanks to GoPro via Periscope, where pro-skydivers/BASE jumpers Jeb Corliss and Roberta Mancino (below) will be swimming with hammerhead sharks.

The duo have spent a lot of time exploring beneath the surface of the Bahamian waters this week in preparation for the brand’s first ever underwater live stream.

Being in such close proximity to the 20ft beasts, the pair are excited about filming the experience as they know that they can connect with many likeminded people via the Periscope platform.

“When doing things like base jumping or shark diving, it’s fun to watch them live,” says Corliss. “They are high-risk activities and you are never really sure what will happen. Periscope is perfect for this. Being able to watch a shark dive live is super exciting and people at home will get to feel what it’s like.”

Using only a WiFi extension cable and four GoPro HERO4 Black edition cameras, Corliss and Mancino will have little equipment between them – although they will also bring a protective pole, just in case they need to defend themselves.

So don’t forget to tune in here to find out how they get on underwater.
