Back in 1977 Richard Branson’s Virgin Records signed one of the most iconic music acts to ever hit the charts, The Sex Pistols. Armed with anti-establishment attitudes and a need to provoke controversy the band garnered a significant amount of publicity.

Now, 25 years on, the iconic punk act will be gracing the faces of a range of Virgin Money’s credit cards in 2015. The financial brand has designed three new cards featuring artwork from the group’s Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols and Anarchy in the U.K. Personal details such as names will appear on the back of the card, so as not to take away from the design.

Speaking about the reasons for putting such an anarchic band on a credit card, Branson says “I can’t think of anything more appropriate than Virgin Money adopting the Sex Pistols on their credit cards because Virgin Money is challenging the established banks and giving them a run for their money.”
