Channel 4: We're the Superhumans

This was epic and magnificent from concept to craft to execution. It was also a genuine moment culturally and creatively in the UK, and campaigns don’t get much better than that.

The National Lottery: Please Not Them

I must also mention a couple of cracking funnies. Firstly, the James Blunt National Lottery campaign which cut so close to the bone. It had brilliant writing and Blunt’s send-himself-up performance is so good that, if his next album bombs, he can do a J-Lo and go into acting.

H&M: The Road Trip

The same can also be said for David Beckham who, against all the odds, holds his own against the hilarious Kevin Hart in this one. Beautifully entertaining, the ad and its oddest of couples show how to use celebrity in the best way.

Burberry: The Tale of Thomas Burberry

The Tale of Thomas Burberry was sweeping, and its all-star cast stylishly wooed and enticed us into wanting so much more of this story. Definitely one for the epic category

Bose: Get Closer

In contrast, but still epic, was the stripped-back simplicity of Bose’s Get Closer as a girl danced through the empty streets of London to great effect.
