In three very humorous spots, we see people with dog-ate-my-homework-type explanations as to why they don't have any form of ID with them when buying alcohol.

Iceland is a land of government-backed alcohol stores, acting as the only place to legally purchase booze. While this may sound a bit of an inconvenience to those of us in free-flowing countries, Vinbudin, the authority that runs the stores, is showing it has a sense of humour with this campaign.

The spots from Pegasus Pictures and directed by Borkur encourage Icelanders to buy booze and make it clear that the only inconvenience that needs to be avoided in Vinbudin’s stores is turning up without ID.
