In an age of dancehall and twerking, ballet has struggled with a somewhat stuffy image, with many assuming that it's the preserve of a privileged few.
Ballet United is aiming to change these perceptions with a one-night-only gala, bringing together some of the world’s brightest and boldest ballet stars to engage, involve and inspire the next generation from all walks of life.
To promote the event, Dark Energy's Trevor Melvin has directed this charming film featuring multiple pairs of pointe shoes hanging in diverse locations like council estates, riverside benches and country fences, just waiting to be claimed by aspiring dancers.
