Young talent takes centre stage as we announce the New Director of the Year shortlist.
The shots Awards 2012 shortlists are coming thick and fast now and today we’re announcing the young filmmaking talent vying to be shots New Director of the Year.
Showcasing up-and-coming talent has always been at the heart of shots and this year’s shortlist of eight directors has been handpicked from our New Directors section as well as the annual shots/cfp-e YDA event in Cannes. Hailing from a variety of countries including Brazil and Canada, this year’s line-up features short films, promos, broadcast commercials and test spots.
The fate of our young crop of directors is now in the hands of the six international judges in this category [see bottom of story] and the winner will be announced on 22 November at the awards show in London. For more information or to book tickets please click here.
